In this our fifth wellbeing walk, we will be stepping back in time in the formal gardens at Cliffe Castle Park. Retracing the past, investigating historical exercise and wellbeing which has shaped this well loved green space we know today. We will be looking at how you can connect with outdoor wellbeing activities and indoor exhibitions, enhancing and elevating your family or community groups winter walks by utilising the parks green spaces and the museum exhibits to their fullest.
Join Cliffe Castle Museum’s resident expert https://bradfordmuseums.org/ . Who will guide us through the museum in a guided talk about the general history of Cliffe Castle Museum, private estate to public park with Q&A.
Val Preston will be leading the walk. Val has experience of working in the wellbeing industry as a qualified personal trainer and Tai Chi instructor. Val will be inspiring you to use all your senses on a slow walk, we will be looking at breathing for relaxation in both the park and museum.
We hope to enable you to inspire walks with friends and family, enjoy your community walks in greenspace, explain and discover how mental health improves and overall wellbeing benefits when we develop and engage in outdoor sensory activity throughout the seasons.
