We will be exploring Cliffe Castle Park autumn woodland habitat through the senses and investigating how this exciting seasonal change within the environment impacts our wellbeing. We will be looking at how you can implement wellbeing activities into your walks this autumn and winter, how our mental health improves and our overall wellbeing benefits when we develop and engage in sensory activities.

Val Preston will be leading the walk with experience working in the wellbeing industry, also a keen naturalist.
Meet the expert Ian Butterfield of YorGreenCIC based at Woodville Community Activity Centre. Ian has a wealth of experience and knowledge in woodland management and design, river and greenspace management. He is keen to support communities and volunteers who create and manage their own green space projects and has planted many trees for local projects.
This the second walk looks at the woodland environment in autumn.
Please wear appropriate clothing for the day, you may need a drink, sun block, meet at the first glasshouse by the flag poll. Some of the walk will be on grass and woodland paths, wear boots or flat shoes please.
