Race for Life is coming to Lister Park this May, bringing hundreds of people together to raise vital funds for life‑saving cancer research. Choose between the 5k or 10k and take part in a welcoming, supportive event that’s open to everyone.
Race for Life 5k
The Race for Life 5k is a great first challenge, no matter your age or fitness level. Go solo and join hundreds of people on the day, or sign up as a group with friends and family. There’s no pressure to finish in a certain time — you can walk, jog or run at your own pace and enjoy the atmosphere. However you take part, you’re helping to beat cancer.
Race for Life 10k
The Race for Life 10k is a more challenging event, but without any pressure. Participants can take it at their own pace and soak up the atmosphere, or push themselves to beat a personal best. The event is chip‑timed, allowing runners and walkers to see their individual finish time once they cross the line.
You can take part as a group with friends or family, or sign up solo and join a supportive and welcoming crowd on the day. However you choose to take part, every step helps Cancer Research UK continue its vital work to beat cancer.
