AWAKEN in the Park – Youth Event at Lister Park

Looking for something positive and welcoming for young people this summer?

AWAKEN in the Park is a free evening event for young people aged 11–18 (school years 7–13), taking place on the grassy area in front of the Bandstand at Lister Park.

What to expect

This relaxed outdoor event offers a mix of fun activities, social time, and space to reflect:

• ⚽ Group and sports games on the grass
• 🎵 Sing-along worship with acoustic music
• 🍪 Snacks and time to hang out with friends
• 💬 A short, encouraging talk for young people
• 🤝 Small group discussions and prayer time
• 🎤 “Get to know you” interviews – hearing real-life stories from young people and leaders

During the evening, young people will have the chance to take part in small group conversations, reflect together, and finish with a short time of shared prayer.

Who can attend? The event is open to anyone who wants to come.

While AWAKEN is a Christian event organised by local churches, it is welcoming to all young people, regardless of background or beliefs.
