What we do:
- Strategy lead for the development and future direction of Bradford Councils parks and recreation grounds.
- Ownership of Playing Pitch Strategy, Playable Spaces Strategy, Sports Pitch Improvement Programme, Bradford Parks & Green Spaces Strategy (in development)
- ‘Landowner’ – initial point of contact for all parks, playing fields and recreation grounds
- Technical Services – we can provide the design, tender and project management required for any projects
- We act as the Manager for all recreation land held in Trust or has Charitable status
- Planning consultations
- Development of sport pitches and associated facilities
- Play Areas and play facilities Inspection and maintenance including MUGAS, Wheeled Sports, Teen Shelters and Outdoor Gym Equipment
- Liaise and support Friends of Parks Groups
We work with our partners in other departments to:
- Maintain parks and recreation grounds (Operational) (Waste Management)
- Maintain and lease buildings in parks (Asset & Management Facilities)
- Maintain Trees (Trees & Woodlands)
