Peregrines Nesting At Lister Mills 

Peregrine falcons are nesting for the first time on Bradford’s iconic Lister Mills chimney.  A pair have set up home in a newly installed nesting box and already have a clutch of eggs.  A specially installed live nest camera provides a fantastic chance to watch the birds incubate the eggs and hopefully feed their young chicks.  The box has been installed by Bradford Urban Wildlife Group as part of their work to encourage these much persecuted birds to find sanctuary in our urban landscape.

Lister Mills is now one of five locations across the district where peregrines are nesting or where nesting boxes will be installed.  The Peregrine Trail website provides more details about the trail and the best spot to catch a glimpse of these magnificent falcons.
