Hedgehog Awareness Week (3–9 May 2026) is a national campaign celebrating hedgehogs and encouraging simple actions to help protect them. This year’s theme is “Take the Hedgehog Pledge.” [msn.com]

Across Bradford District Parks & Green Spaces, we support wildlife-friendly management, including leaving some areas more naturalised. These spaces provide important habitat — not only for hedgehogs, but also for other wildlife such as ground nesting birds, insects and pollinators. [REGENV1612…ing Report | PDF]

Take the pledge

This year, everyone is encouraged to choose one simple action — from creating Hedgehog Highways and leaving wild areas, to checking before mowing or putting out fresh water. [slcc.co.uk]
