About

Path under cherry blossom trees

We complain and complain, but we have lived and seen the blossom -apple, pear, cherry, plum, almond blossom – in the sun; and the best among us cannot pretend they deserve – or could contrive – anything better. J.B. Priestly

The aim of Bradford District Parks  is to give everyone the chance to experience one of those “blossom” moments, those chances to lose oneself even for a short time in the natural world.    That’s why we have public  parks, woodlands and moorlands across the district.

The Districts public Parks and Green Spaces are now provided by a network of partners working together including Neighbourhoods, Parks and Bereavement, Countryside and Rights of Way, Landscape, Conservation and Design, Civil Parishes, Friends and Community groups.  We aim to create safe, clean and attractive places where we can all enjoy better health and better lives.

In doing this we will always try to be positive and flexibly.  We will always seek to involve people in how parks are managed and developed.  We take responsibility for our performance and in delivering value for money.
