The Green Flag Award scheme is run by the environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy on behalf of the Department for Communities and Local Government and is the benchmark national standard for parks and green spaces in the UK.
Roberts Park in Saltaire won the award for the third time recognising the improvements made to the parks infrastructure and the increased community activity. Where as Lister Park in Manningham has met the standard required to receive the Green Flag Award for 12 consecutive years.
Coun Andrew Thornton, Bradford Council’s Executive member for environment and sport said: "This result is marvellous news.
"Congratulations must go to the hard-working staff who look after our parks throughout the year, as well as the wonderful volunteer friends of groups who care so much about our great parks.
We are fortunate to have such beautiful parks in our district and they are great places to spend time with family and friends. There are some fantastic events planned in our parks over the summer including bandstand concerts, play days for youngsters and Bingley Music Live."
