New Play Area in Blackshaw Urban Park

Wed, 6 Jul 2011

A new play area has been officially opened at Blackshaw Urban Park in Buttershaw by the Deputy Lord Mayor Cllr Val Slater.

The site now includes a zip wire, zig-zag twister and a rickety bridge among other fantastic play equipment designed with the help of local children.

Pupils from Reevy Hill Primary School are pictured trying the new equipment and seeing how it compared to their original ideas. Buttershaw Christian Family Centre made the original funding application and are delighted with how the play area has turned out.
